  • Flair Launches Canada’s First Airline Ticket Resale Service in Partnership with Fairlyne

New feature lets customers resell non-refundable tickets directly through Flair’s website

Edmonton, Alberta – December 10, 2025 – Flair is proud to announce a new partnership with French travel-tech startup Fairlyne, bringing Canada its first-ever airline ticket resale service. This innovative feature allows passengers holding non-refundable tickets to request to resell their seat directly through Flair’s website.

Instead of losing the value of their ticket when plans change, eligible customers will soon be able to list their seats for resale and receive compensation if another traveller successfully purchases them. For Flair, this means better seat utilization on high-demand flights and a more flexible, customer-friendly travel experience.

“This service is about providing passengers with a better experience, even when they can’t travel,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines. “It’s a smart solution that offers our customers more flexibility while helping us optimize flight occupancy. We’re proud to be among the first to launch this kind of innovation in Canada.”

The service is powered by Fairlyne’s white-label platform, designed specifically for the travel industry. It enables Flair to deliver a seamless, branded experience while maintaining full control over pricing, rules, and conditions for resale.

“We’re helping airlines introduce a new level of customer service and flexibility, while maintaining complete control,” said Gilles de Richemond, CEO of Fairlyne. “It’s a customer-first approach that addresses a long-standing frustration.”

This partnership reflects Flair’s ongoing commitment to innovation and improved customer experience. The new resale feature will launch in the coming weeks.

This initiative is part of Flair FWD, the airline’s broader strategy to make travel easier, more affordable, and more flexible for Canadians. By investing in new tools and technologies that give customers back control, Flair continues to lead the way in accountable, customer-first air travel.

Edmonton, Alberta | December 3, 2025 — Flair Airlines is making holiday travel easier than ever, and a lot smarter with the launch of Flair Express, the latest and most impactful customer-experience enhancement under Flair FWD.

For the first time in the airline’s history, any customer who purchases a carry-on bag, whether through a bundle or on its own, will receive Flair Express benefits: a faster, frictionless airport experience from check-in to takeoff and a smoother, and priority boarding in a dedicated Flair Express lane.

“Canadians deserve travel that adapts to them, not the other way around,” says Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines. “Flair Express is a simple change that makes a big difference, less stress, fewer lines, and a smoother start to every journey. It’s one more way we’re delivering on our Flair FWD promise to make Flair the easiest airline to fly.”

Launched system-wide on December 3, Flair Express offers the option to remove all friction points for customers and gives more Canadians a reason to fly Flair with confidence this holiday season.

And there’s more to come. Flair FWD continues to introduce customer-focused improvements in 2026, including:

    • New Fare Bundles: Four simplified bundles—Basic, Lite, Plus, and MAX—to give travellers more choice and flexibility.
    • Ticket Resale with Fairlyne: Flair becomes North America’s first airline to offer secure ticket resale, allowing travellers to resell unused seats and giving others access to lower fares.
    • Flair Vacations: Launching this December, offering bundled flights + hotels across Flair’s expanding network, including Mexico, the Southern United States, and the Caribbean.
    • A new app: Launching soon, customers can book flights with ease on our new app.

  • Flair Airlines Delivers Strong October Performance and Expands Customer Experience Enhancements

Canada’s most reliable airline posts a 99.4% completion rate and introduces new Flair FWD improvements ahead of the holiday season

Edmonton, Alberta | November 6, 2025 — Flair once again proved to be the most reliable airline in Canada in October, achieving a 99.4% completion factor and delivering exceptional operational performance and customer experience enhancements across its network.

“Reliability is constant at Flair – it’s what we do every day,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines. “But safety is non-negotiable. We’re not just meeting the standard in Canada – we’re forcing everyone else to raise theirs. When Flair performs, the entire market levels up, and fares decrease. Our drive for operational excellence doesn’t pause, and we keep pushing the limits of what great performance and customer experience mean under our Flair FWD initiative.”

Flair operated more than 2,100 flights and cancelled only 13, two of which were due to uncontrollable conditions at the Kingston, Jamaica Airport (KIN) due to Hurricane Melissa.

Flair posted strong operational metrics across the board:

    • On-time performance (A15): 85.2%, a four-point improvement over the same month last year
    • 95.5% of flights departed within 60 minutes of schedule, meaning Flair’s On-Time Guarantee was rarely needed
    • Load factor: 88.1%, with 348,767 customers flown
    • CO₂ emissions: 89.38g per RPM, maintaining Canada’s lowest emissions per customer

Flair remains one of North America’s top five airlines for on-time performance and continues to outperform many competitors on operational consistency.

October also marked a period of customer-focused progress under Flair FWD, the airline’s transformation program that’s redefining what value travel should look like in Canada. While other carriers are scaling back services or adding costs, Flair continues to enhance experiences without raising fares.

Starting this December, Flair Express is redefining what easy travel feels like. Carry-on customers will breeze through the airport with faster baggage handling and seamless boarding. Passengers will also gain from increased flexibility – Flair becomes the first airline in North America to let you resell your ticket securely through Fairlyne. Add to those smarter bundles, cleaner digital tools, and total transparency every step of the way – all part of making Flair the easiest airline to fly. Flair Express: smart travel made easy.

Frazer McKinstry adds global low-cost carrier expertise to advance the Flair FWD transformation

Edmonton, Alberta | November 3, 2025 — Flair Airlines is pleased to announce the appointment of Frazer McKinstry as Vice President, Airport Operations, based in Calgary.

Frazer brings more than 17 years of experience in the airline and airport industry across Europe, including leadership roles with SwissportRyanair, and Volotea. He has managed large-scale operations, led major transformation projects, and delivered strong results in on-time performance, cost management, and customer experience.

“Frazer’s deep operational expertise and leadership in high-growth, low-cost environments will be a tremendous asset as Flair continues to expand and enhance,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines. “His focus on performance, strategic improvements, efficiency, and people aligns perfectly with our Flair FWD vision for a smarter, simpler travel experience.”

Most recently, Frazer served as Regional Operations Director at Swissport, where he oversaw multi-airport operations, implemented large-scale efficiency programs, and successfully negotiated multimillion-pound labour agreements. He previously held leadership roles at Ryanair and Volotea, where he specialized in driving operational excellence within ultra-low-cost carrier environments.

Reflecting on his career, Frazer said:

“During the post-pandemic recovery, the industry bounced back so fast that no one was truly ready for it. I found myself back on the ground, checking in passengers and loading bags, and I loved every second of it. That experience reminded me how much I enjoy the hands-on side of aviation.”

“ULCCs are what I know best: growth, agility, and expansion. Flair offers all of that in a new country and a new challenge,” he added. “My focus is on growing the business, improving on-time performance, and reducing missing bags, continuing to make Flair a stronger and even more reliable airline than it already is.”

Frazer’s appointment underscores how Flair FWD is transforming every area of the airline. By aligning digital, operational, and customer experience improvements, Flair continues to deliver smarter, simpler, and more connected travel at exceptional value.

  • Flair bucks industry trends by enhancing customer experience as Flair FWD campaign gains altitude

Canada’s most reliable airline is bringing even more value to the skies

Edmonton, Alberta | October 17, 2025 — Six months after announcing its Flair FWD initiative, Flair Airlines is following through on its promise to deliver the best value in the Canadian skies by announcing a series of enhancements to its customer experience, without losing the affordable prices that millions of customers have come to love.

“Since launching Flair FWD, our teams have been hard at work, listening to our customers, reviewing our policies, and investing in delivering a better travel experience,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines. “The work is not over with today’s announcement. If anything, the work is just beginning.”

Over the past several months, Flair has already made several improvements, from booking to the baggage claim:

    What’s New with Flair FWD

    Already Here:

    • Brand-new website: Customers will experience a simpler and faster flyflair.com, built on modern AWS technology. Flair’s redesigned website streamlines the entire journey, making it easier than ever to shop, select, and book flights with speed and confidence.
    • Boarding passes for all: In an effort to speed up boarding, Flair used to do boarding pass collection at the check in counter. We heard customer feedback and now send digital boarding passes to every customer upon completing check in*. We hate lines. We don’t want you standing in an extra one.
    • Delay & disruption information with the real story: Ever receive an email saying, “Your flight has been delayed due to operational reasons?” Us too. We hate those. We now have a team that writes the real story of your flight if it encounters a delay, though with Canada’s most reliable airline, we have to send fewer delay emails than others.
    • On-Time GuaranteeOn time performance is part of the Flair promise that’s why we give customers on all flights with a delay of 60 minutes or more a $60 e-voucher for next time. Reliability you can bank on.
    • Apple AirTag bag tracking: We announced our partnership with Apple to be among the first airlines in Canada to allow automated bag tracking through Apple AirTag technology.

    *Where possible, excluding pets

    Coming Soon:

    • Flair Express: This is a big one. We know that customers hate putting bags in the bag sizer, especially when they often fit in our overhead bins. So, we are going to change that too. Any customer who purchases a carry-on bag, whether through the Lite/MAX bundles or separately, will get Flair Express. Flair Express will allow customers to board in the first boarding group, through a dedicated line, and will only be required to physically put your bag in the sizer if you bring the kitchen sink…

Flair Express will be launching on December 3, systemwide.

    • New Bundles: Our customers wanted better bundle choices, so we are going to deliver. Our four future bundles, Basic, Lite, Plus, and MAX, give customers more choice. Customers can expect to see the new bundles rolling across our platform in the coming months.
    • Ticket resale with Fairlyne: We are proud to announce that Flair will be North America’s first airline to offer ticket resale through Fairlyne. If you can’t make your Flair flight anymore, we will potentially buy back your seat if your flight is popular. This will also allow us to offer more low fares to customers who still need a ticket. Flair’s partnership with Fairlyne will be launching in December, just in time for the holiday season.
    • Flair Vacations: With Flair’s further expansion into the Caribbean and Latin America (Mexico City launches October 27 and Montego Bay launches December 14), customers have asked for a way to combine Flair flights with hotels for better value. Well, we have partnered with HBX to deliver Flair Vacations, arriving in December.

    A New Flair

Flair FWD reflects a deeper transformation underway at Flair Airlines. With a new leadership team, clear direction, and a profound sense of purpose, Flair is shifting the way travel is done in Canada.  Where other airlines are pulling back on customer experience and adding fees, Flair is enhancing its customer experience, adding more options, but not more costs.

“We’ve always been a value carrier, but value is about more than price; it’s also a feeling,” said Eric Tanner, Chief Commercial Officer. “We aim to show Canadians everywhere that Flair is different than what it once was. New Flair is reliable, transparent, and customer centric. We can’t wait to welcome you on board.”

Flair Airlines’ Flair FWD: An Exhibition in Art & Flight is on now and will be open to the public from October 18 – 31 at Twist Gallery, Toronto. It features art from National Geographic Explorer and award-winning photographer Mackenzie Calle.

  • Flair is Canada’s Most On-Time Airline (Again) and #2 in All of North America (Most Reliable, Again)

EDMONTON, Alberta | October 7, 2025 — Flair Airlines has cemented its status as Canada’s most reliable and on-time airline, posting a remarkable 89.2% A15 on-time performance (OTP) in September 2025, the best in the country and second-best in North America, behind only Avelo Airlines.

“We are setting the bar for what reliable, modern air travel should look like in Canada,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines. “To be the most on-time airline in the country and second across the entire continent is a tremendous achievement by our teams. Other airlines have premium lounges and glassware. We have flights that actually depart on time. Choose your luxury.”

With an industry-leading completion factor of 99.64%, Flair continues to outperform Canada’s major carriers:

    • Flair Airlines: 89.2% OTP | 99.64%
    • Air Canada: 81.96% OTP | 97.81% completion
    • Porter Airlines: 88.30% OTP | 99.06% completion
    • WestJet: 85.31% OTP | 98.66% completion

Flair’s internal OTP data tells an even stronger story:

    • 100% on-time performance and 100% completion on September 17
    • Over 50% fewer delays year-over-year
    • Average arrival: 1.5 minutes early

In addition, Flair flew 351,148 passengers at an 86.1% load factor in September, while maintaining its position as Canada’s greenest airline, with 92.3 grams of CO₂ per revenue passenger mile, among the lowest in North America.

With the busy holiday travel season approaching, Flair’s industry-leading performance arrives at the perfect moment. In October, the airline launches new nonstop routes to Mexico City (CDMX) from Toronto and Vancouver, along with recently added service beginning in December to Montego Bay, Jamaica, giving Canadians even more affordable access to bucket-list destinations.

“While others are busy explaining cancellations, we’re busy flying,” added Wilk. “We’re showing up for our customers by delivering exceptional performance, and we’re expanding our network and showing Canadians that air travel can be reliable, easy, sustainable, and affordable all at once.

Flair continues to back its schedule with Canada’s only On-Time Guarantee (OTG): if a flight arrives more than 60 minutes late, customers automatically receive a $60 travel credit.
