MONTRÉAL, June 10, 2026 /CNW/ – As the summer season approaches, ADM Aéroports de Montréal would like to remind travellers of some important tips to help them enjoy a smoother experience, and to inform them of new measures being introduced:
When planning your trip to YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport:
Take advantage of the new 815 bus service offered by ADM that will connect YUL directly to the Des Sources REM station in under 20 minutes, starting June 17. With frequent service during peak periods, it provides an efficient alternative for travel to and from YUL.
Plan your trips using the YUL Transit Planner, and take the time to check road conditions and network traffic by consulting Québec 511 or navigation apps before heading to the airport.
Ask your companion or driver to drop you off at the Express drop-off areas located at the P4 and P10 parking facilities. These points are free and open seven days a week, helping you to avoid traffic congestion, and are served by a frequent shuttle service that takes you to the terminal in just a few minutes.
Arrive at the airport three hours before your flight departure, regardless of your destination, to complete pre-boarding airport procedures.
For faster access to airport processes, make use of the free digital services available at YUL:
When leaving from YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport:
For unaccompanied travellers
To facilitate operations at YUL, Uber and Lyft pick-ups will be offered at a dedicated site by the end of June.
Uber and Lyft are independent companies that recruit self-employed drivers who provide transport services via an app.
For accompanying persons
To avoid congestion, please use the Express drop-off areas located at the P4 and P10 parking facilities to pick up your loved ones. Make sure that the passenger you are picking up has arrived before heading there.
Use the CellParc to wait for your passenger in order to avoid circulating on the road network. Parking is free for a maximum duration of 2 hours.
All tips to help facilitate your passage through YUL can be found on the airport website under the Parking and Transportation section.

New Air Canada aircraft to feature Glowing Hearted cabin, including lie-flat seats, a first for a Canadian airline on a single-aisle aircraft
A321XLR is scheduled to make its inaugural international flight on June 15 from Montréal to Toulouse
MONTRÉAL, June 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Air Canada today marked the entry into scheduled service of its first Airbus A321XLR. The 182 passengers onboard AC413 from Montréal to Toronto experienced the start of a whole new chapter in how – and where – Air Canada customers can fly.
“Air Canada is building one of the most capable fleets in the industry. The entry into service of the first Airbus A321XLR marks a transformative moment for Air Canada and the beginning of an exciting new era for our customers, industry partners, and colleagues,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, and President of Cargo at Air Canada. “Today, we celebrate an aircraft that will unlock new destinations, improve service on existing markets, and enhance the onboard experience. For our premium customers, the A321XLR will offer the only lie-flat seats on a single-aisle aircraft for a Canadian carrier as it crosses the Atlantic and connects destinations across North America.”
“ADM Aéroports de Montréal is pleased to mark the official launch of the A321XLR departing from YUL Montréal-Trudeau today. This next-generation aircraft is a core part of the development and expansion of Air Canada and YUL,” said Yves Beauchamp, ADM’s President and CEO. “This modern and versatile aircraft will open up new markets and strengthen Montréal’s international connectivity, in addition to bringing greater flexibility to existing routes.”
“We are thrilled to celebrate this historic milestone alongside our long-standing partner Air Canada. As the first airline in Canada to operate the A321XLR, Air Canada is showcasing true leadership in fleet modernization,” said Colin, Bole, Senior Vice President Customers, North America, Airbus. “This aircraft is the perfect tool to support their network growth, seamlessly bridging the gap between short-haul and long-haul operations while delivering a 30% reduction in fuel burn per seat and the ability to operate with up to 50% neat Sustainable Aviation Fuel. We are proud to see our next-generation technology support Air Canada’s ambitions and operate on both new and already-existing non-stop transatlantic markets like Montréal to Toulouse in a more sustainable way.”
Air Canada’s new Glowing Hearted cabin standard is making its debut on the A321XLR, offering calm, comfort and connectivity to customers. It features personal device power at every seat, fast, free Wi-Fi for Aeroplan Members sponsored by Bell, next-generation in-flight entertainment screens that are larger and offer Bluetooth connectivity, and thoughtfully curated cabin finishes inspired by the Canadian landscape and aligned to the airline’s brand and commitment to enduring quality.
To the 14 lie-flat seats in Air Canada Signature Class, the A321XLR has 168 Economy class seats, with every seat featuring seatback in-flight entertainment with 4K OLED IFE screens (13-inch in Economy, 19-inch in Signature Class) with Bluetooth audio.
The aircraft will operate several domestic flights prior to its first trans-Atlantic flight between Montréal and Toulouse on June 15.
Air Canada plans to integrate the A321XLR into its schedule progressively to support growth across its network. The aircraft’s performance and range characteristics are well suited to adjust for seasonal demand patterns and evolving market opportunities.
The arrival of the A321XLR is an important milestone and the latest step in Air Canada’s multi-year fleet modernization program, which is focused on customer experience, operational resilience and fuel efficiency improvements versus older-generation aircraft. It reflects the airline’s commitment to prudent growth, continuous product investment, and disciplined execution of Air Canada’s business plan. In addition to 30 A321XLRs (15 will be leased, 15 are being acquired directly from Airbus S.A.S) that are expected to enter the fleet over the coming years, Air Canada has announced orders for 14 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners as well as eight A350-1000s. It also continues to take deliveries of the Canadian-built Airbus A220, with 21 aircraft remaining on its firm order of 65. Five Boeing 737 MAX aircraft have already been delivered in 2026.

About ADM Aéroports de Montréal

MONTRÉAL, May 7, 2026 /CNW/ – ADM Aéroports de Montréal today announced its consolidated operating results for the quarter ended March 31, 2026. These results are accompanied by passenger traffic data for YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport.
Highlights
Passenger traffic at YUL totalled 5.1 million for the first quarter of 2026, up 2.9% compared with the same period in 2025. Of note is the growth in the domestic and international sectors, which increased by 6.3% and 6.1%, respectively, compared with the same period in 2025. The transborder sector declined by 8.1% compared with the first quarter of 2025.
EBITDA (earnings before income taxes, net financial expenses, depreciation and impairment and share in the results of joint ventures; see the “Non-GAAP measures” section for more information) was $84.7 million for the first quarter of 2026, a decrease of $5.9 million, or 6.5%, compared with EBITDA of $90.6 million for the same period of 2025.
Capital investments were $195.6 million for the first quarter of 2026, compared with $138.7 million for the corresponding period of 2025, an increase of $56.9 million, or 41.0%. Investments in the Airport Program totalled $160.7 million ($111.9 million in 2025), while investments for the Airport REM Station totalled $34.9 million ($26.8 million in 2025).
Quote
“While the first quarter ended on a positive note with growth in passenger traffic at YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, our teams are hard at work preparing for the summer season, which is already upon us and promises to be another busy one this year,” said Yves Beauchamp, President and CEO of ADM. “In this context, work on the airport site is progressing at a steady pace to ensure an improved experience for visitors. Until the REM station opens in 2027 and the new drop-off points become operational in 2028, accessing the site will be challenging during peak hours. However, mitigation measures, such as our Express drop-off areas, provide effective alternatives for users. Finally, I would like to acknowledge the ongoing dedication of airport community employees throughout these projects. Their exceptional service was recently recognized by the 2026 Skytrax World Airport Awards as being among the best in North America.”
Financial results
Consolidated revenues amounted to $223.0 million for the first quarter of 2026, an increase of $3.7 million, or 1.7%, compared with the corresponding quarter in 2025. These results are mainly due to the annual increase in aeronautical fees and higher passenger traffic. They also reflect the impact of the introduction of an airport improvement fee (AIF)applicable to connecting passengers since December 1, 2025. These positive impacts were partially offset by a decrease in parking revenues resulting from the reduction in the number of parking spaces near the terminal following the closure of the multi-level parking facility pending its demolition, a key stage in the airport’s facilities development plan.
Operating expenses totalled $101.2 million for the first three months of 2026, an increase of $8.2 million, or 8.8%, compared with the same period in 2025. This increase is attributable to higher operating costs for passenger services, to adverse winter conditions that led to additional site maintenance costs, and to an increase in headcount compared with the same period in 2025. This increase was partially offset by a reduction in professional fees compared with the first quarter of 2025, when several preliminary design studies for the Flight Plan were carried out.
Transfers to governments (payments in lieu of municipal taxes [PILT] and rent paid to Transport Canada) totalled $37.1 million for the period under review, an increase of $1.4 million, or 4.0%, compared with the same period in 2025. These transfers represented 16.6% of ADM’s revenues in the first quarter of 2026, compared with 16.3% for the corresponding period in 2025.
Depreciation and impairment of property and equipment and right-of-use assets remained stable, totalling $43.0 million for the first three months of 2026, down by $0.3 million, or 0.7%, compared with the same period in 2025.
Net financial expenses were $26.1 million as at March 31, 2026, an increase of $1.6 million, or 6.6%, compared with the corresponding period in 2025. This variance is mainly due to a decrease in interest income generated on surplus cash, partially offset by the increase in interest capitalized on work in progress.
Net income for the quarter ended March 31, 2026 was $15.9 million, compared with $23.0 million for the same period in 2025, a decrease of $7.1 million, or 31.0%.
Financial situation
ADM’s net debt as at March 31, 2026 was $2.7 billion, compared with $2.6 billion at December 31, 2025; see the “Non-GAAP measures” for more information. The variance is attributable to the combined effect of the use of cash and long-term debt to finance capital investments.
Sustainability at ADM
During the quarter, ADM implemented the following initiatives to pursue its commitment to sustainability:
Included in the 2026 Top Employers in Montréal ranking, a prestigious accolade awarded by Mediacorp Canada. A total of eight key criteria were used to identify the best employers, including workplace quality, professional atmosphere, employee benefits, training and development, and community engagement.
Held the 12th edition of the “Premium Kids” event at YUL, in collaboration with Air Transat. This unique day allows children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or functional limitations and their families to familiarize themselves with the airport process to ease their apprehension about travelling. This year, nearly 200 participants were able to experience the typical journey through an airport.
Continued to accelerate the development of YMX Innovation, located at YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel, with a series of major developments confirming the rapid growth of its technology campus. By welcoming its first global leaders, the organization is reaffirming its commitment to stimulating innovation and establishing Québec and Canada in the aerospace industry of the future.

MONTRÉAL, April 12, 2026 /CNW/ – The 12th annual Premium Kids event at YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, organized by ADM Aéroports de Montréal in partnership with Air Transat, took place in a joyful atmosphere filled with hearty laughter and beaming smiles. This unique day allows children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or functional limitations and their families to familiarize themselves with the airport process and the experience on board an aircraft to ease their apprehension about travelling.

This year, nearly 200 people participated in the typical airport process, from arrival to security screening, boarding, and the announcement of safety procedures on board the aircraft.
“ADM is proud to have once again played host to Premium Kids, an event that aligns with our commitment to making the airport experience more inclusive and accessible,” said Jérôme Conraud, ADM’s Vice President Strategy, Planning, and Sustainability. “The children, accompanied by their parents, experienced a realistic introduction to the airport environment in a welcoming setting, which gave them hope that one day they will be able to fly as a family. This activity is very important to ADM, and I would like to thank all the volunteers and partners who made the day such a success.”
“Initiatives such as Premium Kids, supported by the commitment of our employees and long-standing partners like ADM, play an essential role in easing these families’ apprehensions and guiding them toward a more serene travel experience. As part of our accessibility approach and our commitment to continuous improvement, we have identified critical moments in the travel experience of individuals with functional limitations, one of which is the airport process. This highlights just how important events like Premium Kids are. Air Transat is honoured to support this meaningful initiative year after year,” added Andréan Gagné, Senior Director, Communications, Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility at Transat.
In addition to Air Transat, which has been involved since the first edition, several other partners ensure the smooth running of the event: Autisme Montréal; the Giant Steps; Transport Canada; the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA); the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA); GardaWorld; Sûreté du Québec; HMSHost; and the Montréal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel.
Presented as part of Autism Awareness Month, this initiative is inspired by a similar program, Wings for Autism, launched in 2011 by the Charles River Center in collaboration with the Massachusetts Port Authority (Boston-Logan International Airport). ADM became the first airport authority in Canada to implement such a program at YUL in 2013.
