Agreement reached after more than three years of negotiations

25 May 2023 – WINNIPEG, MB – Perimeter Aviation and Bearskin Airlines pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), have reached a tentative agreement with Perimeter Aviation, a subsidiary of Exchange Income Corporation. If ratified, the new 5-year tentative agreement contains numerous improvements, including increased pay, stronger job security protections and better working conditions.

“For more than three years, pilots at Perimeter and Bearskin have demonstrated their unity and commitment to securing a collective agreement that reflects the contributions we make to the success of our airline and the communities we serve,” said the Captain Riley Box, president of the ALPA’s Perimeter Pilots Group.

“Perimeter and Bearskin pilots are committed to bringing their wages in line with their industry counterparts and significantly improving their work rules. This tentative agreement is a step in that direction and is a fair and just contract that benefits pilots and helps our company retain pilots,” added Capt. Robert Maxwell, president of ALPA’s Bearskin Pilots Group.

Perimeter pilots began negotiations with management in 2020. Since then, the pilots have continued to drive the airline’s success despite the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. “

In recent years, the number of pilot groups represented by ALPA on EIC-owned airlines has doubled from three to six, with pilots making up nearly 10% of ALPA’s Canadian membership.
