Vancouver, BC – Seair Seaplanes is pleased to announce the addition of a newly acquired De Havilland DHC-2 Beaver aircraft to support expanded scenic tour operations from Vancouver Harbour, alongside the launch of an enhanced lineup of sightseeing and premium travel experiences ahead of the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
The aircraft will be based in downtown Vancouver and dedicated primarily to scenic touring, allowing Seair to increase availability for visitors exploring British Columbia’s coast during what is expected to be one of the busiest tourism seasons in the region’s history.
“As Vancouver prepares to welcome the world during the World Cup we’re excited to expand our touring capacity and introduce new ways for visitors to experience the city and surrounding coastline from the air,” said Jared Williams, President & CEO of Seair Seaplanes. “The Beaver is an iconic West Coast aircraft and a perfect fit for showcasing Vancouver’s skyline, mountains, and waterfront from a truly unique perspective.”
Introducing “The Beautiful Tour”
Leading the expanded lineup is Seair’s newest scenic experience, The Beautiful Tour, designed to highlight Vancouver during the World Cup hosting season.
Departing from Vancouver Harbour aboard the classic Beaver aircraft, the tour offers aerial views of the city’s coastline, the North Shore Mountains, Deep Cove, and key stadium landmarks including BC Place and surrounding waterfront venues. The experience combines Vancouver’s natural beauty with the energy of one of the world’s largest sporting events.
Operating seasonally from May through August, the tour provides visitors with a memorable introduction to the city from above.
Expanded Day Trips from Vancouver to Victoria
Building on the success of its recently launched Victoria Harbour scheduled service, Seair is also introducing a new collection of same-day Victoria experiences departing from downtown Vancouver.
These curated packages combine scenic seaplane travel with popular destination highlights including whale watching excursions, Butchart Gardens visits, and hop-on, hop-off city sightseeing options, offering guests a seamless way to explore British Columbia’s capital in a single day.
Introducing a New Series of Luxury Coastal Experiences
Seair is also expanding into a new category of premium travel experiences with the introduction of select private luxury tour offerings departing Vancouver Harbour.
These exclusive itineraries combine private seaplane travel with curated destination partnerships across British Columbia, including winery experiences in the Okanagan Valley and guided wildlife viewing excursions along the
province’s remote central coast.
Designed for small groups and high-value experiential travellers, these new offerings reflect growing demand for immersive day-trip adventures accessible directly from downtown Vancouver.
Supporting Growth in Vancouver’s Tourism Season
The addition of a dedicated touring Beaver aircraft ensures Seair can expand scenic flight availability while maintaining flexibility across its scheduled service network.
“This aircraft gives us the ability to grow our tour program meaningfully while continuing to support our harbour-to-harbour scheduled routes,” said Chad Wetsch, Chief Commercial Officer at Seair Seaplanes. “It’s an important step as we prepare for increased visitor activity leading into the summer season.”
Tours depart directly from Seair’s Vancouver Harbour terminal, located at the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre in Coal Harbour, just steps from downtown hotels, cruise terminals, and major visitor attractions.
