In 2025, she transitioned into her current role as Director of Air Ambulance, bringing nearly two decades of operational, training, and leadership experience across air ambulance, airline, and special-mission surveillance operations. 

  • PAL Aerospace to Deliver Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance for Newfoundland and Labrador

    Partnership between Medavie Health NL and PAL Aerospace under the Integrated Emergency Health Services program strengthens Newfoundland and Labrador’s air ambulance system with modern aircraft, harmonized medical layouts, and long-term stability.

    St. John’s, NL — PAL Aerospace announces it has entered into a contract with Medavie Health NL Inc. (Medavie) to deliver fixed-wing air ambulance operations for Newfoundland and Labrador under the province’s Integrated Emergency Health Services (IEHS) program. The 10-year agreement, with an option to renew for an additional five-year period, establishes a single, long-term provider responsible for modernizing and operating the province’s fixed-wing air ambulance service. The fleet will consist of four King Air 350 aircraft based in St. John’s and Goose Bay with harmonized medical layouts and proven short-field performance, providing air clinical crew with a consistent, reliable platform while ensuring patients in both urban and remote communities can be transported quickly and safely to care. Each aircraft features dual LifePort systems, large cargo doors, and consistent medical equipment stowage – providing crew the equipment they need to provide a high level of care to patients.

    As part of Medavie’s integrated offering, PAL Aerospace will operate and maintain a fleet of King Air 350 aircraft for Newfoundland and Labrador’s fixed-wing air ambulance service. Air Borealis, a PAL-partner company, will play a critical role in this agreement by providing patient transportation for coastal Labrador communities using two dedicated Twin Otter aircraft configured for schedevac and one Twin Otter configured for medevac. These aircraft will support daily scheduled medical flights on the North and South coasts, Monday through Friday, and provide essential medevac capability as required.

  • PAL Aerospace Pilots Reach a Tentative Agreement

    First Collective Agreement Addresses Concerns of All PAL Aerospace Pilots

    St. John’s, N.L.—PAL Aerospace pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), have reached a tentative agreement with management on a new employment contract. The three-year deal was unanimously approved by PAL Aerospace ALPA leadership on May 31 and contains significant improvements to scheduling, working conditions, compensation, job security, and benefits.

    The new agreement underscores the complexity and significance of representing a diverse group of professionals operating across multiple divisions and geographic locations. Over the next few weeks, the agreement will be shared with the entire pilot group, and then a vote will take place. If ratified, this will be the PAL Aerospace pilots’ first Collective Agreement.

    “Over the last few years, our team has been negotiating to ensure this agreement encompasses the vast complexity of combining the multiple divisions and types of operations in which the company operates into this agreement. The PAL Aerospace pilots now have the benefit of a contract spanning all the divisions of PAL Aerospace,” said Capt. Stephen Young, chair of the PAL Aerospace ALPA Master Executive Council (MEC). “Our pilots ultimately have an agreement that provides well deserved improvements to compensation, work rules, and quality of life. Our pilots will also have the security of a seniority-based system throughout bases and divisions across the company.”

This will help with pilot recruitment and retention while making us stronger and more competitive within the industry.”

    St. John’s, NL – February 22, 2022 – PAL Aerospace is pleased to enter into a contract for the continued provision of air reconnaissance capability and associated support services for the Dutch Caribbean Coastguard. This new contract, which was awarded after an extensive evaluation of tenders to determine the Best-PriceQuality-Ratio to the customer, will see PAL Aerospace upgrade and operate two fully missionized DHC-8 maritime patrol aircraft, provide crew training on all systems, and support the program for at least a ten-year period, with options to extend.

The aircraft’s taskings will include maritime surveillance, search and rescue, law enforcement including counter narcotics operations, sovereignty enforcement and customs enforcement and other missions as designated.

    This contract also solidifies PAL Aerospace’s relationship with consortium bidding partner JetSupport Amsterdam. An independent provider of aircraft maintenance and support based at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands, JetSupport and PAL Aerospace are also partnered in the delivery of and support for Maritime Patrol Aircraft for the Netherlands Coastguard.

    The Maritime Patrol Aircraft associated with this contract will be upgraded with state-of-the-art sensor systems to continue providing industry leading air reconnaissance capacity for the Dutch Caribbean Coastguard.
