Beginning this spring, the Dawson City bus-adventure company will be the new provider of ground-handling and passenger services at Dawson City Airport

Dawson City, Yukon (March 31, 2025): The Klondike Experience, among the Yukon’s most multifaceted and highest-rated tourism companies, is thrilled to announce one of the most exciting developments in its 13-year history.
The Klondike Experience has entered into an agreement with Air North, Yukon’s Airline, to provide the following services at Dawson City Airport (YDA):
- Check-in procedure for passengers
- Ground-handling of baggage and cargo
- On-site assistance throughout operating hours for all passenger services
This seamless transition, which is scheduled to begin in late April, will carry on the premium standards of service that visitors and locals alike have come to expect from Air North.
Still affectionately known among Dawson City residents by its original name, Husky Bus, The Klondike Experience began in 2012 “with the idea of providing Yukoners and visitors with a reliable way to get around the territory and explore all that it has to offer,” says founder and CEO Jesse Cooke. Since then, its services have rapidly expanded to include charter transportation, vacation packages, daily tours, multi-day backpacking adventures, and more.
“The Klondike Experience has been a transportation and service provider in this community for a long time,” says Cooke. “This new agreement with Air North is a major milestone for us. Our dedicated crew and I are looking forward to this new transition with excitement.”
“Air North has admired how The Klondike Experience has evolved from its beginnings into a cornerstone of Yukon tourism,” says Josh Clark, Director of Charters, FBO & Corporate at Air North, Yukon’s Airline. “Both of our companies share a commitment to delivering exceptional travel experiences for both visitors and locals. We are confident this partnership will be a successful collaboration that benefits everyone involved—especially our valued travellers.”
