    Gogo Galileo, the latest innovation from Gogo Business Aviation (NASDAQ: GOGO), will provide operators worldwide with global, high-speed in-flight internet and low-latency performance for every size of business aircraft from light jets and turboprops to the largest business jets. With its compact size, the HDX will leverage Eutelsat OneWeb’s enterprise-grade Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellite network, designed for mobility to deliver low variability and consistent performance across all routes globally.

    Skyservice’s STC for Gogo Galileo HDX will cover the Gulfstream G280, a popular super-midsize business jet, with approximately 240 aircraft currently in operation worldwide. This STC is expected to be validated by Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC), and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK/CAA), which will allow operators globally to benefit from the latest high-speed in-flight connectivity.

    Operators can contact Skyservice to submit a purchase order for the Galileo HDX, which is designed to be an easy upgrade to any AVANCE system (AVANCE L3, L5, LX5, SCS). Installations are planned for Q1 in 2025.

    A special promotional rebate of $25,000 is also available for a limited time to current Gogo customers operating a legacy air-to-ground system (ATG 1000, 2000, 4000, 5000) when installing AVANCE SCS and HDX.

This new structure, consisting of three global business lines in Business Aviation, Fixed-Base Operations, and Aircraft Maintenance, elevates leaders within the organization while welcoming Ronald Silverman to the team as president, Business Aviation. Together, these changes align with the Company’s business strategy and advance Skyservice’s ability to deliver personalized service and safety excellence, promote operational efficiency and position the Company for future growth.

    Mr. Silverman brings extensive business aviation experience and is responsible for Skyservice’s managed aircraft sales, charter, and aircraft sales and acquisition divisions. He will also oversee the Company’s global operations center, flight operations and pilot and crew activities. Prior to joining Skyservice, Mr. Silverman was chief commercial officer at Jet Linx, where he led the Aircraft Management Sales, Jet Card Sales and Base Leadership teams, overseeing 21 base locations around the United States. Prior to Jet Linx, Mr. Silverman held the position of president of Vista U.S., chief commercial officer of XO, and served over a decade as senior vice president at Executive Jet Management (EJM), a NetJets company.

    Skyservice is also pleased to announce the following leadership appointments:

    • Ty Dubay, now president, Fixed-Base Operations, will take on the responsibility of managing all Skyservice FBO locations, including Fontainebleau Aviation’s Miami (KOPF) property.
    • Paul Weeks, now president, Aircraft Maintenance, expands his oversight and leadership at Skyservice to manage all maintenance operations and OEM partnerships globally.
    • Mirjana Bosnic, now chief human resource officer for Skyservice and its affiliate companies.

    Skyservice begins partnership with Fontainebleau luxury brand in South Florida

    TORONTO, Dec. 20, 2023 /CNW/ – Leading aviation company Skyservice Business Aviation (“Skyservice”) today announced the completion of its investment in Fontainebleau Aviation’s fixed-based operator (FBO) at Miami Opa-Locka Executive Airport (“OPF”).  Additionally, customary approvals for Skyservice’s investment in a new FBO at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (“FLL”) — currently under development by Fontainebleau Aviation — are still underway. This collaboration between Skyservice and the esteemed Fontainebleau luxury brand, announced earlier this year, is set to create unparalleled opportunities in the business aviation sector.
