  • Arcfield Canada Welcomes Luc Sabourin as Vice President of Canadian Operations

    CALGARY, Alberta, Oct 15, 2025 – Arcfield Canada Corp., a premier provider of mission sustainment solutions for the aerospace and defence sector, is pleased to announce the appointment of Luc Sabourin as vice president of Canadian operations. In this role, Luc will lead the company’s business operations and strategic planning efforts, while advancing future business opportunities and growth initiatives.

    Sabourin joins Arcfield from L3Harris MAS where he was responsible for standardizing operations between Cold Lake, Alberta and Bagotville, Quebec, in direct support of the Royal Canadian Air Force’s (RCAF) CF-18 fighter. Earlier in his industry career, he served as director of fleet management at Top ACES Inc., where he was responsible for the technical sustainment of all company fixed wing assets.

    Sabourin began his career in the Canadian Forces as an aerospace engineer, serving most recently as Commander of Canadian Forces Recruiting Group. Prior to that, he spent eight years with the RCAF in a variety of roles, including: Commanding Officer 1 Air Maintenance Squadron (1 AMS) in Cold Lake, Alberta overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance operations in support of the CF-18 fighter aircraft; Wing Commander of 5 Wing Goose Bay in Happy Valley, Newfoundland and Labrador; and Director A4 Maintenance at 1 Canadian Air Division Headquarter in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he was responsible for the standards and management of all RCAF aircraft maintenance operations. Earlier roles also included leadership positions in weapon system management, aerospace and engineering management, training and maintenance and finally operational command and control.  

    Sabourin holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and a Master of Sciences in Aerospace Vehicle Design from Cranfield University.

  • Arcfield Canada Awarded$211.6M Contract for CF-18 Avionics In-Service Support

    CALGARY, Alberta, March 7, 2024 – Arcfield Canada Corp., a leading provider of mission sustainment solutions for the aerospace and defence industry, has been awarded the CF-18 Avionics In-Service Support program by the Department of National Defence (DND). The award, which represents follow-on work for the company, has a firm 5-year period of performance and a total contract value of up to $211.6 million CAD.

    In support of this work, Arcfield Canada assembled Team Northern Sentry—which includes Raytheon Canada, L3Harris Technologies, Palitronica and Terra Nova—to deliver a comprehensive sustainment solution and in-service support to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). Under the contract, Team Northern Sentry will provide ongoing operation and maintenance of Canada’s CF-18 fighter fleet.

    Arcfield Canada hosted a special contract award ceremony at its Canadian headquarters in Calgary, Alberta on March 7, 2024. George Chahal, Member of Parliament for Calgary Skyview, visited Arcfield Canada in Calgary, Alberta to announce the important investment to support Canada’s fleet of CF-18 fighter jets. Dignitaries, members of DND and RCAF, partners, suppliers and local media were present to commemorate this significant achievement.

    Alberta facility provides
    support for critical supply chain management services for Canada’s CF-18 fighter fleet.


    Cold Lake, Alberta, Aug. 30, 2023 –
    Arcfield Canada Corp., a leading provider in aerospace and defence services, celebrated the official opening of their new warehouse facility located at Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 23.

    Arcfield Canada currently supports the CF-18 fighter operations conducted at 4 Wing Cold Lake, located in Alberta, and under the operational command of 1 Canadian Air Division. As an international Centre of Excellence for tactical fighter operations, 4 Wing is one ofthe largest and busiest fighter aircraft wingof the Canadian Armed Forces. The new Arcfield Canada location will further enhance its ability to provide world-class supply chain management services to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).

    “The investment in this new location was an important move for Arcfield Canada as we are committed to continue in-service support for the CF-18 fighter fleet, and ensure operations are supported with a reliable source of supply chain services.” said Jacques Comtois, vice president, Arcfield Canada.

    Arcfield Canada has been the trusted partner in providing in-service support, maintenance repair and overhaul, engineering and testing and comprehensive supply chain management services for the RCAF’s CF-18 aircraft fleet. For the Primary Air Vehicle (PAV), Avionics Optimized Weapon System Support, and the Propulsion Group Sustainment programs, Arcfield manages more than 100,000 supply transactions annually at Cold Lake and Bagotville, Quebec and has completed more than 70,000 repairs on the CF-18 avionics systems to date at the company’s repair shops in Calgary.

    CALGARY, Alberta, May 04, 2023 – Arcfield Canada Corp., a leading provider of mission sustainment solutions for the aerospace and defence industry, today announced the official launch of Team Northern Sentry for the Royal Canadian Air Force’s (RCAF) CF-18 fighter fleet. Team members include Arcfield Canada, Raytheon Canada, L3Harris Technologies, Palitronica, and Terra Nova.

    Team Northern Sentry brings together leading Canadian defence, aerospace, and technology companies to provide a comprehensive sustainment solution for maintenance, repair and overhaul, engineering support services, cyber materiel assurance, supply chain management, logistics support analysis, and obsolescence management for the full suite of CF-18 avionics systems.
