  • De Havilland Canada and Avincis Aviation Announce Joint Initiatives

    CALGARY, Alberta and LISBON, Portugal, Dec. 03, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited and Avincis are pleased to announce various joint initiatives in support of the CL-215, CL-215T and CL-415 aircraft.

    As part of these initiatives, Avincis has agreed to transfer ownership of its ADS-B and FMS supplemental type certificates for the CL aircraft to De Havilland Canada for inclusion in its spare parts catalogue, thereby providing access to critical system solutions for all CL aircraft operators. Additionally, going forward, Avincis-led modification opportunities will be developed in cooperation with De Havilland Canada for the CL aircraft.

  • IndiaOne Air Signs Letter of Intent for up to Ten De Havilland Canada Twin Otter Series 300-G Aircraft at the Dubai Airshow

    Dubai, UAE (November 18, 2025) – De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (De Havilland Canada) is pleased to announce that IndiaOne Air, a regional airline based in India, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to acquire up to ten Twin Otter Series 300-G aircraft.

    The announcement was made today during the 2025 Dubai Airshow, marking a significant milestone for both companies as IndiaOne Air expands its fleet and De Havilland Canada strengthens its presence in India’s fast-growing regional aviation market.

    The addition of the Twin Otter 300-G to their fleet will support IndiaOne Air’s mission to serve remote and underserved regions of India. The new 300-G is the latest generation of the legendary and proven Twin Otter platform and will enable the airline to further expand connectivity across the country, particularly in areas with limited established airport infrastructure.

    Satellite Wi-Fi Connectivity Now Available for Dash 8-400 Operators Worldwide

  • De Havilland Canada Unveils Twin Otter Classic 300-G at the Paris Air Show

    Paris, France (June 17, 2025) – De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited is proud to showcase the Twin Otter Classic 300-G at the 2025 Paris Air Show. This next-generation Twin Otter, on display for the first time at a major international airshow, is fully assembled, ready for delivery, and awaiting final certification before entering service with Zimex Aviation, a long-standing De Havilland Canada customer and global operator of utility aircraft. 

    This aircraft will be number 998 Twin Otter produced since the aircraft was launched. The 1000th Twin Otter will be completed shortly and is scheduled for delivery to SATENA of Colombia in the second half of 2025.  

    The Classic 300-G is equipped with a new Garmin 1000 avionics suite and an all-new cabin interior, which is now included as standard on new Classic 300-G production aircraft. 

    The new interior of the Twin Otter enhances passenger comfort while significantly reducing the aircraft’s Basic Empty Weight. The panels are all-new, crafted from durable and lightweight materials. Redesigned passenger interfaces are integrated into the ceiling and new cabin window bezels that allow more light to fill the cabin. The all-new seats are 15% lighter, come with e-leather upholstery as standard, and feature a convenient fold-flat backrest. These improvements allow operators to transport more passengers or cargo per flight, maximizing efficiency and operational capacity. 

    The Classic 300-G is the newest generation of the Twin Otter, carrying passengers, transporting VIPs, moving cargo and performing special missions in the world’s most unforgiving environments. When mounted on amphibious floats, these aircraft move seamlessly between paved surfaces and water-landing areas. It features a lighter airframe, improved payload capacity, enhanced fuel efficiency, and greater operational flexibility—all while retaining the rugged, STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) performance that Twin Otters are known for.

    Launched in 2023 and announced at the Farnborough Airshow in 2024, DHC’s OEM Refurbishment Program sees aircraft go through refurbishment and upgrade programs before being delivered to operators and lessors with the intent of seeing these aircraft continue to fly for many years to come.   

    De Havilland Canada’s Dash 8 aircraft are well-known for their ruggedness, long-service life, unique performance capabilities and market leading operating economics.  The De Havilland Canada OEM Refurbishment Program extends the operational life of the Dash 8 aircraft and meet the needs of current and future customers of DHC. 

    Program Highlights: 

    • Since launching the program, DHC has invested in more than 40 Dash 8 airframes with the intention to return them back into service. 
    • DHC has delivered 13 refurbished Dash 8’s to nine different operators. 
    • DHC has an additional 12 aircraft sold and undergoing refurbishment to meet the demand of our global customers. 
    • Unrelated to the refurbishment program, DHC is delivering three new, modified Dash 8-400 aircraft to the SkyAlyne consortium to be introduced into the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) by the Government of Canada. These are stored production aircraft that will be modified into a special mission configuration. 
    • DHC is now expanding the program to offer refurbishment of Dash 8-100, Dash 8-200 and Dash 8-300 aircraft and can also offer these aircraft with the Extended Service Program (ESP) or ESP+ life extensions and new avionics installations.

    Paris, France (June 16, 2025) – De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (De Havilland Canada) is pleased to announce that an undisclosed regional operator based in South America, has signed a purchase agreement for a refurbished Dash 8-400 aircraft.
