Flair bucks industry trends by enhancing customer experience as Flair FWD campaign gains altitude

Canada’s most reliable airline is bringing even more value to the skies

Edmonton, Alberta | October 17, 2025 — Six months after announcing its Flair FWD initiative, Flair Airlines is following through on its promise to deliver the best value in the Canadian skies by announcing a series of enhancements to its customer experience, without losing the affordable prices that millions of customers have come to love.

“Since launching Flair FWD, our teams have been hard at work, listening to our customers, reviewing our policies, and investing in delivering a better travel experience,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines. “The work is not over with today’s announcement. If anything, the work is just beginning.”

Over the past several months, Flair has already made several improvements, from booking to the baggage claim:

What’s New with Flair FWD

Already Here:

  • Brand-new website: Customers will experience a simpler and faster flyflair.com, built on modern AWS technology. Flair’s redesigned website streamlines the entire journey, making it easier than ever to shop, select, and book flights with speed and confidence.
  • Boarding passes for all: In an effort to speed up boarding, Flair used to do boarding pass collection at the check in counter. We heard customer feedback and now send digital boarding passes to every customer upon completing check in*. We hate lines. We don’t want you standing in an extra one.
  • Delay & disruption information with the real story: Ever receive an email saying, “Your flight has been delayed due to operational reasons?” Us too. We hate those. We now have a team that writes the real story of your flight if it encounters a delay, though with Canada’s most reliable airline, we have to send fewer delay emails than others.
  • On-Time GuaranteeOn time performance is part of the Flair promise that’s why we give customers on all flights with a delay of 60 minutes or more a $60 e-voucher for next time. Reliability you can bank on.
  • Apple AirTag bag tracking: We announced our partnership with Apple to be among the first airlines in Canada to allow automated bag tracking through Apple AirTag technology.

*Where possible, excluding pets

Coming Soon:

  • Flair Express: This is a big one. We know that customers hate putting bags in the bag sizer, especially when they often fit in our overhead bins. So, we are going to change that too. Any customer who purchases a carry-on bag, whether through the Lite/MAX bundles or separately, will get Flair Express. Flair Express will allow customers to board in the first boarding group, through a dedicated line, and will only be required to physically put your bag in the sizer if you bring the kitchen sink…

Flair Express will be launching on December 3, systemwide.

  • New Bundles: Our customers wanted better bundle choices, so we are going to deliver. Our four future bundles, Basic, Lite, Plus, and MAX, give customers more choice. Customers can expect to see the new bundles rolling across our platform in the coming months.
  • Ticket resale with Fairlyne: We are proud to announce that Flair will be North America’s first airline to offer ticket resale through Fairlyne. If you can’t make your Flair flight anymore, we will potentially buy back your seat if your flight is popular. This will also allow us to offer more low fares to customers who still need a ticket. Flair’s partnership with Fairlyne will be launching in December, just in time for the holiday season.
  • Flair Vacations: With Flair’s further expansion into the Caribbean and Latin America (Mexico City launches October 27 and Montego Bay launches December 14), customers have asked for a way to combine Flair flights with hotels for better value. Well, we have partnered with HBX to deliver Flair Vacations, arriving in December.

A New Flair

Flair FWD reflects a deeper transformation underway at Flair Airlines. With a new leadership team, clear direction, and a profound sense of purpose, Flair is shifting the way travel is done in Canada.  Where other airlines are pulling back on customer experience and adding fees, Flair is enhancing its customer experience, adding more options, but not more costs.

“We’ve always been a value carrier, but value is about more than price; it’s also a feeling,” said Eric Tanner, Chief Commercial Officer. “We aim to show Canadians everywhere that Flair is different than what it once was. New Flair is reliable, transparent, and customer centric. We can’t wait to welcome you on board.”

Flair Airlines’ Flair FWD: An Exhibition in Art & Flight is on now and will be open to the public from October 18 – 31 at Twist Gallery, Toronto. It features art from National Geographic Explorer and award-winning photographer Mackenzie Calle.
