  • Winter 2026-2027: A Wave of New Offerings Sweeps Across Air Transat’s Network to the South and Europe

    • Costa Rica now accessible non-stop from Quebec City
    • Addition of an exclusive route between Toronto and Martinique
    • Two flagship European routes now offered year-round: Toronto–Paris and Montreal–Barcelona
    • Expanded sun destination offering from London and Charlottetown
    • Return to Florida from Montreal, Quebec City, and Halifax

MONTREAL, April 17, 2026 /CNW/ – Air Transat today begins unveiling its 2026-2027 winter program with the announcement of four new routes – Quebec City–San José, Toronto–Fort-de-France, London–Puerto Plata, and Charlottetown–Punta Cana – as well as the expansion of the Toronto–Paris and Montreal–Barcelona routes to year-round service. This first phase highlights attractive additions to sun destinations and the strengthening of the airline’s transatlantic offering.

“Demand for sun destinations remains strong, and Transat’s recognized expertise in leisure travel enables us to respond with ambition,” said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat. “Leveraging our brand, our network and a strategy focused on diversification and optimization, we continue to enhance our offering and expand our presence in high-potential markets. And this is only the beginning: next winter will bring a wave of announcements, spanning both network development and partnerships.”

    Sustained Expansion from Quebec City
Air Transat continues to grow its operations from Quebec City with the addition of a new route to San José, Costa Rica. The offering is also enhanced with additional frequencies to Fort-de-France (two flights per week) and Cancún (eight flights per week). In addition, the seasonal Québec City–Nantes route, scheduled to launch this summer, will be extended through the holiday period to meet the strong demand for Europe. These additions bolster Air Transat’s winter offering and consolidate its position as the leading carrier at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport.

The French Antilles Now Easily Accessible from Toronto
From Toronto, Air Transat is adding a new route to Fort-de-France, Martinique – a fast-growing destination renowned for its cultural richness and unique landscapes. Already offered year-round from Montreal and Quebec City, this destination will now be available seasonally from Toronto, allowing even more travellers to discover this gem of the French Antilles.

Key European Routes Now Offered Year-Round
Air Transat is expanding its winter offering to Europe by making two popular European routes available year-round. The Toronto–Paris and Montreal–Barcelona routes, previously operated only during the summer season, will now also be available in winter. This addition is designed to better meet the needs of travellers wishing to visit loved ones or plan trips outside the peak season. By offering these destinations all year long, Air Transat provides greater choice and flexibility while facilitating travel between Canada and Europe throughout the year.

Expanded Offering from London and Charlottetown
Air Transat is also continuing to develop its presence at regional airports with the addition of Puerto Plata from London (Ontario) and Punta Cana from Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island). These routes enhance the airline’s existing sun destination offering, which already includes flights to Cancún and Punta Cana from London, as well as Cancún from Charlottetown.

Florida Returns to the Winter Program
After a pause during the summer season, Air Transat will resume service to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in winter 2026-2027. The airline will offer up to seven weekly flights from Montreal, as well as three weekly flights from Quebec City and a weekly flight from Halifax. The return of this iconic sun destination is part of Air Transat’s efforts to strengthen its winter offering and reinforce its presence in the most promising markets.

“These additions illustrate our commitment to consolidating our presence in Eastern Canada by offering more non-stop travel options while responding to growing demand for convenient, close-to-home departures,” added Mr. Ponce.

  • Premium Kids event at YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport: Nearly 200 People at the 12th Edition

ADM and Air Transat are partnering to offer families of children with autism spectrum disorder or functional limitations the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the airport process and the experience on board an aircraft

MONTRÉAL, April 12, 2026 /CNW/ – The 12th annual Premium Kids event at YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, organized by ADM Aéroports de Montréal in partnership with Air Transat, took place in a joyful atmosphere filled with hearty laughter and beaming smiles. This unique day allows children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or functional limitations and their families to familiarize themselves with the airport process and the experience on board an aircraft to ease their apprehension about travelling.

This year, nearly 200 people participated in the typical airport process, from arrival to security screening, boarding, and the announcement of safety procedures on board the aircraft.

“ADM is proud to have once again played host to Premium Kids, an event that aligns with our commitment to making the airport experience more inclusive and accessible,” said Jérôme Conraud, ADM’s Vice President Strategy, Planning, and Sustainability. “The children, accompanied by their parents, experienced a realistic introduction to the airport environment in a welcoming setting, which gave them hope that one day they will be able to fly as a family. This activity is very important to ADM, and I would like to thank all the volunteers and partners who made the day such a success.”

“Initiatives such as Premium Kids, supported by the commitment of our employees and long-standing partners like ADM, play an essential role in easing these families’ apprehensions and guiding them toward a more serene travel experience. As part of our accessibility approach and our commitment to continuous improvement, we have identified critical moments in the travel experience of individuals with functional limitations, one of which is the airport process. This highlights just how important events like Premium Kids are. Air Transat is honoured to support this meaningful initiative year after year,” added Andréan Gagné, Senior Director, Communications, Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility at Transat.

In addition to Air Transat, which has been involved since the first edition, several other partners ensure the smooth running of the event: Autisme Montréal; the Giant Steps; Transport Canada; the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA); the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA); GardaWorld; Sûreté du Québec; HMSHost; and the Montréal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel.

Presented as part of Autism Awareness Month, this initiative is inspired by a similar program, Wings for Autism, launched in 2011 by the Charles River Center in collaboration with the Massachusetts Port Authority (Boston-Logan International Airport). ADM became the first airport authority in Canada to implement such a program at YUL in 2013.

  • ADM Announces Its Financial Results for 2025

MONTRÉAL, March 30, 2026 /CNW/ – ADM Aéroports de Montréal (the “Corporation”) announced today its consolidated operating results for the year ended December 31, 2025. These results are accompanied by passenger traffic data for YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport.

    Highlights

    • Passenger traffic at YUL totalled 5.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, up 1.2% compared with 2024. In total, 22.4 million passengers passed through YUL in 2025, down 0.5% compared with 2024. Notably, the domestic and international sectors grew, posting increases of 1.9% and 2.4%, respectively, over the same period in 2024. The transborder sector (U.S.) declined by 9.5% compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
    • EBITDA (earnings before income taxes, net financial expenses, depreciation and impairment and share in the results of joint ventures; see the “Non-GAAP Measures” section for more information) was $442.9 million for fiscal 2025, an increase of $3.8 million over EBITDA of $439.1 million for the previous year.
    • Capital investments (net of grants) were $696.5 million in 2025, compared with $439.1 million in 2024, an increase of $257.4 million, or 58.6%. Investments in the Airport program totalled $582.8 million ($352.1 million in 2024), and those for the airport’s REM station totalled $113.7 million ($87.0 million in 2024).

    Quote

“The year 2025 ended on a relatively stable note, with 22.4 million passengers passing through YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport–a volume comparable to that in 2024. Considering the socio-economic context of the past year, this demonstrates the importance of travel, especially for Quebecers,” said Yves Beauchamp, President and CEO of ADM. “It is a great privilege for us to welcome such a large number of travellers to YUL and offer them so many opportunities to connect with destinations around the globe. This is precisely why ADM teams must continue to implement Flight Plan, the airport infrastructure development program, to provide users with better service. With construction sites and other work continuing to increase at the airport, I would like to thank our users for their patience and compliance with the mitigation measures put in place. I would also like to recognize the excellent work of the airport community’s employees, whose dedication is helping to build the airport of tomorrow.”

    Financial results

Consolidated revenues totalled $960.8 million in 2025, an increase of $43.6 million, or 4.8%, compared with 2024. These results are attributable to the increase in AIF fees, which took effect on March 1, 2024, as well as the annual increase in aeronautical charges, which were partially offset by the slight decrease in passenger traffic and carrier activity.

Operating expenses for the year under review totalled $369.5 million, an increase of $38.2 million, or 11.5%, compared with 2024. This increase is mainly due to costs associated with preliminary studies that will enable the implementation of the airport facilities development plan, passenger service expenses–particularly to mitigate the impact of construction on traffic flow during peak periods–increased information technology spending as the Corporation transitions to cloud-based solutions, and increased headcount over 2024.

Transfers to governments (payments made in lieu of taxes to municipalities [PILT] and rent to Transport Canada) totalled $148.4 million, an increase of $1.6 million compared with the previous fiscal year and represented 15.4% of ADM’s total revenues (16.0% in 2024).

Depreciation and impairment of property and equipment and right-of-use assets were $183.1 million in 2025, an increase of $14.2 million, or 8.4%, from 2024. This increase is mainly due to the commissioning of new assets in 2025 and 2024.

Net financial expenses totalled $100.8 million in 2025, an increase of $12.7 million, or 14.4%, compared with 2024. This variance is mainly due to a decrease in interest income on surplus cash.

Net income was $159.0 million for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, compared with $182.0 million in 2024, a decrease of $23.0 million, or 12.7%.

    Sustainability at ADM

During this quarter, ADM implemented the following initiatives to pursue its commitment to sustainability:

    • Won the Eureka Award in the Transportation Organization category, presented by Écotech Québec, for the development and successful testing of the new ECOWAY50 deicing fluid, developed in collaboration with Electro Carbon.
    • Launched a new edition of its “Chez ADM, on Centraide” campaign, through which it contributes to the fight against poverty, exclusion, and inequality. This initiative also enabled some 30 ADM employees to volunteer with three organizations affiliated with Centraide. Thanks to the generosity of employees, a total of $131,540 was donated to Centraide of Greater Montréal and Centraide Laurentides.
    • Hosted a blood drive at its YMX site organized in partnership with Héma-Québec, Safran, and ADM. Thanks to the generosity of the YMX airport community, more than 200 patients will benefit from these valuable donations.
    • Took a new step forward in its efforts to electrify and decarbonize its operations by introducing five new Nova Bus electric buses at its YUL site. These buses now transport passengers between Parking Lot P4 and the terminal.

  • Skytrax 2026 World Airport Awards: YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport Stands Out

MONTRÉAL, March 27, 2026 /CNW/ – ADM Aéroports de Montréal is proud to announce that YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport achieved strong results in the 2026 Skytrax World Airport Awards. After winning top honours in 2021, 2023 and 2025, the airport community’s employees this time took second place in the “Best Airport Staff Service in North America” category.

“The year 2025 marked the beginning of a significant transformation of our airport, with numerous projects aimed at shaping the airport of tomorrow,” said Yves Beauchamp, President and CEO of ADM. “In this sometimes challenging context for passengers, I am particularly proud that the remarkable work of our airport community members has been recognized. We are privileged to have a dedicated and passionate community that has enabled YUL to excel for years by providing exceptional hospitality and prioritizing the traveller experience. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the 13,000 employees who assist and serve passengers from here and abroad every day. Through their dedication and smiles, they are contributing to the reputation of our international airport and city.”

According to Skytrax, this latest award reflects passengers’ high regard for YUL’s customer service teams, who stand out for their professionalism, courtesy, and comprehensive approach, both within the terminal and through increasingly extensive digital assistance services.

For several years now, YUL has remained in the top 10 of the overall “Best Airports in North America” category. Notably, only two other Canadian airports are included in this category. YUL climbed five spots compared to last year and ranked 46th on the overall list of the top 100 international airports, as determined by votes from travellers worldwide.

The Skytrax World Airport Awards are considered a benchmark of quality within the global airport industry. The awards are given out as part of the world’s largest annual airport customer satisfaction survey, which is conducted among more than 565 airports and millions of travellers worldwide. The survey evaluates the user experience in all areas of airport services and facilities, including arrival, check-in, retail offerings, security, and departure at the boarding gate. The survey period ran from August 2025 to February 2026. The survey and awards are conducted independently of any control or contribution by the airports.

Skytrax is also recognized for its World Airport Star Rating program, which evaluates airports worldwide based on audits conducted by surveyors and a committee of independent experts. Since 2019, YUL has been certified as a 4-star airport, placing it among the ranks of other major airports worldwide. This prestigious international recognition was renewed at the end of 2024.

  • YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport: Travel Tips for Spring Break

MONTRÉAL, Feb. 24, 2026 /CNW/ – ADM Aéroports de Montréal spokesperson Anne-Sophie Hamel will be available on February 25 and 26 at YUL for in-person and videoconference interviews. There will also be an opportunity to take pictures of the demolition of the multi-level parking facility. Please send your requests by email to affaires.publiques@admtl.com .

With spring break approaching and many families and travellers planning to fly to sunny destinations, ADM Aéroports de Montréal would like to remind passengers of some important tips for a smoother experience at YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, which is undergoing major changes to better serve its users.

Due to reduced parking availability following the permanent closure of the multi-level parking facility and EconoParc P5, parking reservations are essential to guarantee a spot in the airport parking lots. Additionally, due to increased traffic, access to the site is more difficult during peak hours. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that all passengers plan their trips accordingly and prioritize using the Express P4 and P10 drop-off areas. Passengers should also arrive at the airport three hours before their flight.

    For travellers

    Picking up passengers

    • Please use the Express drop-off area near parking lot P4 to pick up your loved ones. Make sure the passenger you are picking up has arrived before heading there. If they haven’t arrived yet, use the CellParc holding lot. You can stay there for free for up to 2 hours.

For any other questions related to your trip, please consult the “Questions and Answers” section of the ADM website. Once you arrive at the airport, don’t hesitate to approach one of our red-jacketed ambassadors to help you find your way around the terminal. Finally, a representative from the YUL Satisfaction team can help you in real time online through the YULChat chat service.

Air Canada took the decision following advisories issued by governments (NOTAMs) regarding the unreliability of the aviation fuel supply at Cuban airports. For remaining flights, Air Canada will tanker in extra fuel and make a technical stops as necessary to refuel on the return journey if necessary.
